Pre Post Inventory - Juvenile

The Pre-Post Inventory - Juvenile is designed for pretest-posttest outcome comparison. The same test is administered at pretest (intake) and posttest (counseling or treatment completion). At posttest, a counseling/treatment Comparison (pretest results are compared to posttest results) Report is generated. The pretest (intake or before treatment) is the baseline against which the postest is compared. The time referent for client's completing the Pre-Post Inventory - Juvenile is the here-and-now (last 30 days), consequently history (court and treatment) is kept to a minimum. And the Pre-Post Inventory - Juvenile is available in English and Spanish.

The Pre-Post Inventory-Juvenile has 148 items and takes 30 minutes to complete. The Pre-Post Inventory - Juvenile contains seven (7) scales (measures) that include:

Truthfulness Scale
Alcohol Scale
Drugs Scale
Resistance Scale

Distress Scale
Self - Esteem Scale
Stress Coping Abilities

Although the Pre-Post Inventory-Juvenile is computer scored, the majority of evaluators use paper-pencil test booklets and answer sheets. This does not tie up their computer and enables evaluators to test individually or in groups. Then at the evaluators convenience he/she can input the answers into the computer for scoring. From data input the test is scored, interpreted and the Comparison Report is printed within 2 ½ minutes.

Applications: juvenile counseling and treatment program effectiveness. The Pre-Post Inventory-Juvenile methodology assesses change from the pretest (intake) to the posttest (after treatment) time interval. The seven (7) Pre-Post Inventory-Juvenile scales (measures) are the criterion for pre-post comparison.
