Adult Treatment Outcome

The Adult Treatment Outcome test is designed for test-related comparison at important stages of counseling / treatment intervention, e.g., intake, change of status, treatment completion and counseling / treatment effectiveness or outcome. The same test is administered twice, consequently history (court and treatment) is kept to a minimum. The client time referent is "here-and-now" or last 30 days. The pretest (intake, before treatment) becomes the baseline that the posttest (after treatment) is compared to. Computer software compares pretest (intake) with posttest (after treatment) scores and prints a "Comparison Report".

Although the Adult Treatment Outcome is computer scored, most evaluators use paper-pencil test booklets and answer sheets. This does not tie up their computer and enables evaluators to test individually or in groups. Then at the evaluators convenience he/she can input the answers into the computer for scoring. From data input the test is scored, interpreted and the Comparison Report is printed within 2 ½ minutes. And the Adult Treatment Outcome is available in English and Spanish.

The Adult Treatment Outcome has 153 items and takes 30 minutes to complete. The Adult Treatment Outcome's twelve (12) scales (measures) include:

Applications: The Adult Treatment Outcome is used to assess adult counseling and treatment program effectiveness. The Adult Treatment Outcome procedure assesses change from the pretest (intake) to the posttest (after treatment) time interval. The twelve (12) Adult Treatment Outcome scales (measures) are the criterion for pre-post comparison.
